MTC Camp!

Had a chance to make some last memories with some friends this past week at the MTC camp. I watched these men plant a seed and grow a huge testimony in the course of about 4 days. The friendship and love we had for eachother was amazing. The leaders were great, the speakers were great, but it was the obedience of the young men that truly made this camp a success. I hope that the young men that went will remember what they experienced and "know they're role." That they may remember who they are and the goal that they all now have in serving 2 years for the Lord. I pray that they will stick together. That they may help eacother and themselves to uphold they're standards. That they can continue to recognize the Spirit and act upon those promptings. "Let your light so shine before men that they may see you're good works, and glorify you're Father which is in Heaven." (Matt. 5:16)

alright no joke, i'm at work and the lady in the next cubicle just let out a huge fart! Just thought i'd share that with you guys.
O and i've decided that Miranda Lambert is gorgeous... but the gun powder and lead and her being made of it? kinda scary. Oh and Miley Cyrus' new song is good... okay really good...dont judge me cuz i didn't make fun of that shirt you're wearing. And Taylor Swift? Well she is awesome too.... although Reilly and I have found that all of her songs have the same measure. I think it was 3/4's or something like that.

Tribute to THE majestic Reilly Ben Hatch

How do you describe you're friendship with a best friend on a blog? How can you tell of his majesty and preserverence? How can you capture his love of the Savior and the Gospel? Well just tell it like it is. My name is Kevin Rothlisberger and my best friend, like Kaitlin's, is a man by the name of Reilly Hatch....(alias bobplayground). I would like to describe my friendship with a man whose heart was bigger than life itself. He cared about each of his friends deeply and never held himself higher than anybody else even though his intellect and talents defy any real description. When it comes down to Reilly, all of his great moments were had to be there moments, unless you heard the story from Reilly himself, he can describe any moment in time with uncanny detail.
Reilly..... "my dearest friend". My best friend, my example, mi amigo. He's the top sharp shooter in his class already and is doing great things. I wonder if any of his shipmates know he's only 17? What i do know, is that those individuals Mr. Hatch serves do notice something different about this man. His closeness not only with his amazing family, but his closeness to the scriptures. The "rod" we should all hold to. I'm not much of a writer. But what i do know, is when you share most of your life with a man like Reilly, you've gotta show other people what they deserve in a friend and what everyone should strive to be.
What it comes down to is, when Reilly is giving a speech in front of thousands of people, when he is the example to others as he already is to me, it will be my privilege to say "I know him."
Reilly.... YOU are the MAN.

Hugs...

Alright, so this is my newest pet peeve... whats the deal with hugs? Dont get me wrong i love a good hug, but there are several different types, some more awkward than enjoyable:
The "One-armed hug"
Alright this has to be my least favorite, it's when the two individuals (most likely members of the opposite sex) stand side by side and wrap one arm around eachother. It's like neither of the two want to even be in that situation! However if one person goes for the one armed hug, the other one has now choice but to follow! They could take a risk and go for the full hug, but the likeliness of that happening is slim, especially when the other person who started the one armed hug has the other arm ziplocked to their hip!

The "X Hug"
This one should only tak place between two males or relatives. It's when one person's arm is on top of the other person's shoulder, and this person's opposite arm is below that person's arm. Are you following me? Single person who reads this blog? Anyways, this is good for man-on-man or when you hug you're aunt or uncle. Usually this hug is followed with three pats on the back.... some men hit harder than others.... like they are trying to beat their chest like Tarzan and call all of his gorilla friends but you're upper torso seems to be in the way...it's like they prove they're manhood by this 3-pat motion.

The "Over-Under Hug"
This is my personal favorite....awkward with another man, but for man-woman or woman-woman hugs this is the ideal hug. Usually the man's arms go around or near the waist area of the female and the female (it's like the girls are specimans the way i say "female"....not intended) But yeah gotta cut this short....

Hey "y'all." I now have the internet at my house....so i'll be on here more and more now. Dunno if anyone but reilly looks at this but yeah. So i'll continue the great experiment of blogging.

Atlanta Braves and the MLB 2008 season getting under way!!!!

Chipper Jones and his Atlanta Braves will be kicking off the regular season on Tuesday Mar. 25 2008. It will be interesting to see how they fair without Andruw Jones or Edgar Rentaria. And with the Mets acquiring Johan Santana during the offseason, the rivalry between these 2 teams will have to be kicked up a notch on the Braves side. Mark Texeira is one of the best 1st baseman in the league both offensive and defensivly. And with the addition of veteran lefty Tom Glavine, arguably the best left handed pitcher to play the game, the starting staff and the bullpen will all become better by learning and watching him. The Braves are going to be the Sleeper team of the year, I predict. With Bobby Cox running on his last leg, he will undoubtedly inspire his veterans and youngsters both to play to their best ability.
